VEGAN

Free vegan meals
every Saturday
in Austin

Food is a right, not a privilege. We are neighbors cooking together, turning recovered and donated ingredients into free vegan meals for unhoused and food-insecure people across Austin.

How Saturday works

Around 11:00 AM | Cook

Cutting ingredients, cooking, washing dishes, wiping tables, keeping the kitchen moving.

Around 2:30 PM | Pack & deliver

Portioning meals into containers, organizing them for delivery, loading up, and cleaning.

Later Saturday | Share

Meals go out to Austin neighbors, including unhoused and food-insecure community members.

What we believe

Food is a right, not a privilege. Communities can care for one another directly, through shared labor, recovered resources, and collective action.

Free meals, always. No cost, no proof of anything.

Vegan food, not by accident. It is core to who we are.

Mutual aid, not charity. We work alongside each other.

Dignity first. Neighbors, never cases or clients.

Keep the pots full

Every Saturday runs on donated groceries, compostable containers, propane, gas money, and people willing to show up. If you cannot make a shift, supplies and funds go straight into the next cook.
